Wanborough Village
The parish of Wanborough lies in the north eastern corner of Wiltshire. The village can be found to the east of Swindon's N.orth Eastern Villages (NEV) development

What does the Council do?
Wanborough Parish Council is the first, most local tier of government for residents of the village representing local interests. We are an elected corporate body, managing community services including open spaces, footpaths and allotments. We also own Hoopers Field and play a part in maintaining the village hall as a village amenity. We are the first tier of local planning and contribute to local strategy and planning for the village.
Planning & Development
The Parish Council is the first tier of the planning process before the matter is decided by the Borough Council.
We could provide high level details of applications here whether we objected or not along with links to SBC Planning portal

Wanborough has over fifty footpaths stretching from Sugar Hill near Aldbourne Parish to Liden. They cover 15 miles in total.
Whether you want to report a blocked footpath, find a new walk or just check where the paths are you can do so by clicking here..
Village Ameneties
The parish council provides a number of public ameneties in and around the village. These range from leisure facilities to book libraries, traffic monitors to defibrilators. Find out more here.
Flooding
The Marsh is called the Marsh for a reason. Much of the parish can flood.
As the North Eastern Villages grow and if through climate change or development the problem becomes more frequent - we will link to advice and guidance here.

Allotments
We have a statutory duty to provide allotments for parishoners and do that jointly with those living in Covingham.
As/if new facilities are provided elsewhere (eg North Eastern Villages) or not, we will link and/or collate information here
Strategic Plan
The Parish Council has spoken of refreshing or developing a more strategic plan. This could be explained, shared and developed further from this point in the site.
